Gianni Fumagalli Huesca (born 1957) belongs to an important circus family, which has got their roots in Spain but the Huesca family settled in Italy, where they still live. The most famous artist of this family is Francesco "Nenè" Huesca (now 82 years old) he was a famous clown at circus Medrano-Casartelli, Togni, Bouglione, …"Nené" Huesca got 9 sons and with them he set up one of the most important teet board acrobatic troupe. Gianni Fumagalli Huesca is the son of Daisy Huesca (born in 1920, sister of Francesco "Nené") and Enrico "Enrichetto" Fumagalli, a famous old clown at Circo Orfei until the end of ‘60s. Gianni’s father ("Enrichetto Fumagalli") took part to the film "I Clowns" directed by the famous filmmaker Federico Fellini in 1970.

With the brother Daris, Gianni worked all over Europe, both in circuses and (above all) in night show, variety and theatres with 2 acts: a double teet board act and a cascade comic act.

They have been working at:

- Circo Miranda Orfei (Italy) - 1976

- Cirque de Noel de Toulouse (France) - Christmas 1990

- Circus Althoff Jacobi (Austria) – Seasons 1992 and 1993;

In 1994 the Huescas are engaged at Circus Roncalli by Bernhard Paul to replace the role occupied previously by the portuguese clown Angelo Munoz. Munoz left Paul, the whole water clown entrée "bee bee, give me honey" ("binche binche, ….") and for almost 10 years was presented by Fumagalli at Roncalli.

So Berhnard Paul transformed Gianni Huesca in the character of the "fool august" -Fumagalli - and design with him his original silhouette (hair and dress), using some elements of the ancient mask of Gianni’s father.

In 1996 they work in the Cirkusbygningen for the permanence of Roncalli in Copenhagen.

Huescas remain with Bernhard Paul until 2000.

In December 2000 the Huesca left Circus Roncalli. In January 2001 they take part of the Monte Carlo Circus Festival with reprises , water entrée and the funny parody of the Fuma-boys (with the fundamental collaboration of the Italian Bello family, now in Canada at Cirque du Soleil – unit "Varekai"). Here they won the Silver Clown.

In April, the same year they open a nice circus in Germany ("Circus Fumagalli") with a very strong show: ventriloquist Willer Nicolodi; hand to hand of the Peres Brothers, juggler Claudius; trinka, comic trapeze and reprises of the Bellos family; trapeze of Duo Milanovi,…. . In the show there was a lot of comic acts and the atmosphere was also really involving.

"Circus Fumagalli" lasted only one season.

In winter 2001/2002 the Huescas and the Bellos came in Italy to work in Circo Medrano-Casartelli in Milan.

The following year Daris and Gianni Fumagalli Huesca worked in "Circo Massimo" by Bronett (turned in Karlskorona for television) and then in Cirkus Scott. The same show was brought in France for a short tour. In October 2002 Fumagalli is guest star at the 1° Circus Festival in Grenoble (France). And in winter 2002/2003 they work in Stuttgart for the Stardust organization.

Now they are ready to start the next season at Cirkus Benneweis in Denmark.

Fumagalli and his family have been in Denmark before. In the summer season 1986 they was performing in Circus Arena. Together with his wife Angela and his brother Darix they was engaged with a wire - Schleuter board act, and a knife balance. Already in 1986 Giani was a great comic talent and the whole staff in Arena predicted him and his family a great future. This year Arena was touring on Island North of Scotland and here became Fumagalli popular very fast and soon he was engaged to a finer nightclub every night after the ordinary performance in Circus Arena. In Scandinavia he has performed in Scott, Massimo, Arena, Finlandia and Reykjavik nightclub. In the coming season he and Darix will touring around in Denmark with Benneweis starting April 4^th in Hillerod ending season is middle September in Copenhagen
