René Irek

All visitors in Circus Arena are always very impressed by the cars, wagons and the surroundings. Circus Arena looks like an old fashion circus with a lot of art work and there are always lots of details to look at. The latest work is the new entrance wagon with the most beautiful ornaments, wooden horses and much more. It is not a secret that one of director Benny Berdinos passions is his material. Nice old fashion cars has in many years been a part of the summer tour around in Denmark and in the 2003 season he went on the road with a new and fantastic tent.

But who is behind all this art work. His name is René Irek and born in Germany many years ago. Many circus people say that Arenas material reminds them about the German Circus Roncalli and there is something about that idea because René is the guy behind most of the work in Roncalli. Four years ago Benny Berdino employed this artist in his circus and now we can all see this fantastic travelling exhibition. Renč works full time in the winter quarter in Slagelse a 100 km outside Copenhagen. Lots of projects are waiting on René and we can look forward to see lots of work from his hands in the future. René has been working all over Europe and in Africa. Not only in circus but also in theatres and he has been working as a ring master in several circuses in Germany. Here is a few pictures of his work . Enjoy
