It is very sad to hear about those six polar bears, living in small caves without air condition or access to pools. They have been with circus for a long time in weather conditions far away from their natural habit. All animal friends, including most circus people are very satisfied with this hopefully final destination for those wonderful animals.

But but when that is told and the journalist of the different tabloids have lost their interest for the bears, when the story don’t make money anymore, lots of serious circus people are left behind with that feeling that they are bad people. People in this world do have the impression, that all circus people are cruel and ugly animal haters. The public opinion is that they don’t do anything right to any animal in this world. If I was reading all those articles with neutral glasses and didn’t new anything about animal training, I would of cause have the same opinion and that’s really scaring. It is not the true that all circus people are cruel to their animals but the journalists do make that impression through their stories, and it sells. In my opinion it is right that stories like the polar bears are coming out in the light but it is sad to feel that the readers are left behind in that opinion, that it is common to beat up every living creature in circus around the world.

I have the deepest respect, for many animal activist croups but some times they go to far. I’m sure they are right when they say that lots of people around the world miss treat their animals but please go after the bad guys and don’t blame all.

It’s funny to think how many people in this world who really wants to help animals and save the natural habits? Yes there are few people who tries to give money to south America in exchange for a piece of the forest but basically people in this world will give nothing if the cost is, an decrement in their personal living standard. It is always the guys next door that have to pay. Try to think on the pollution - cars, trucks and aeroplanes gives to the world and how many natural habits are being destroyed because of mans greed to be able to buy cheap foot. Most people feel better if they can blame others, in this case the animal trainers and they can go to bed at night with a good conscience because they have done something. The same people go to their homes after the traditional demonstration outside circus and eat meat from animals witch life had been 100 times worse than animals from a circus, chicken caves, cows never been outside, transportations without water and food. There are millions of those animals in the world and we cant do anything about it, because it’s a question about money. Please fight for those animals

Here it’s easy to attack circus because it wont cost you anything and you feel better but try to take look on the worlds real animal problems. Go after the real problems the guys who do great money on mistreating animals and people who use the world’s resources. Don’t go after the poacher but go after the people who buy ivory and skins because without the buyers the ivory will be worth nothing and illegal hunting would stop immediately.

Circus there have chosen not to include animals in their performance, like Circus Du soleil use this opportunity to promote themselves as the good guys and claims that animals belongs in a jungle. That’s the way to become a member of finer culture and be respected on a higher level than other circus. I assume announcements like that is, to show the world that they are better than the pack in the traditional circus. It’s funny because in these days members of Circus du Soliel performs side by side with those animal trainers in the international circus festival in Monte Carlo but of cause money can buy anybody….

There is no doubt, that we have to treat animals with care and respect and most people in this world don’t like animals like polar bears performing in any circus. But to blame all circus, that they don’t take proper care for their animals is absolutely not fair. There is a wide range of animals their do like to perform, so please be fair and respect those people there do treat their animals well and don’t blame all.

Those bears were the last performing polar bears in the world and we all hope they were the last.
