In Germany there is a large circus Krone and in Denmark there is a small circus Krone. They have absolutely nothing in common – only, they call them selves a circus. The Geman Krone has a top international performance and the Danish Krone has a small but very nice performance. There are room for about 200 hundreds spectators and here is the absolutely advantage, because it is possible to build up a very nice atmosphere. In Krone there are lots of traditions and normally there are engaged a few artists doing more than 2 acts in the performance. The big horses are not the normal stallions but small ponies doing very much the same as there bigger brothers.
One of many traditions in Krone is that director Irene Thierry is telling about circus Krone, the history and much more. The atmosphere is very relaxed and it seems like a big family. There is a small circus orchestra playing simple but well adapted music. It was my first visit in this circus, normally touring far away from Copenhagen. The premiere was in their winter home in Jylland far away from everything.
The program was started by Jan Allan (married with Director Irene Thierry) and there small ponies. They did what they should and very much as if they have been in normal size. The act was, as the rest of the program, very relaxed and in a very nice atmosphere.

On the right Director Irene Theirry. On the left Jan Allan. In the middle The Danish illusionist - Kim Kenneth and his girlfriend.
Next was the German Juggler Tom Future with his first act. Lots of balls in a very traditional juggling program. He started up a little weak with lots of faults but in the end he was very impressing.

Duo Marineseu was very entertaining in a comic acrobat act. Lots of funny situations in this first of three entrees from this duo.

Jan Allan as the clown Alando did a very charming and best of all, a very original clown act. Yes the act was for kids but adults could have a good laugh too.

The Danish ventriloquist star mr. Preben Palsgard did a common act. One of the spectators is invited in the ring and every time Mr. Palsgaard squeezes the spectators hand he shall open his mouth. Now Mr. Palsgaard delivers the sound to the movements from the poor fellow’s mouth. The act was very well done and similar acts can be seen by the best ventriloquists in the world. At the moment it is possible for the Swedish people to see the act be done by the Italian star ventriloquist - Kevin Huesca in circus Maximum (circus Merano – Norway in 2004).

Back in the ring for the second entree were Tom Future and this time with a diablo act. He was an absolute surprise and the act was very well done. His tempo was maybe a little to slow but he did a lot of nice and very skill full tricks.
For the first time ever there was a roller skating act in circus Krone. The act was delivered by Duo Marineseu. Fast tempo with lots of dangerous and impressing moments. As usual in those kinds of acts one of the spectators was invited to try a few rounds in the hands of the artists. The funny part is not to see this innocent man spinning around but to see him try to find back to his seat afterwards.

Second entrée with the ventriloquist Preben Palsgaard and this time with a more traditional act. His very naughty bird was very funny. Mr Palsgaard wrote a book about tips and tricks concerning ventriloquism a few years ago. The title was "You are moving your lips Preben" and the book includes everything as gags, how to make your own doll, how to avoid difficult letters in your sentence and much more. Unfortunately is the book sold out and it is not possible to buy it anymore, so if you want to read it you most consult the library.
The female part of Duo Marineseu was in charge of the evenings thrill. A very nice ariel ring act. Maybe not world class but it fits perfect into a small circus as Krone.
The show was ended by Tom Future with his third entrée and this time he was back as a juggler. In the dark he was juggling with fire sticks in a very visual act.
Performing time was 2 hours including a 15 min break.
