Animals in Circus.

In many years there has been more and more critic against circus and their way of treating their animals. It is absolutely common that there is demonstrations against the circus when they arrive to the towns around the world. But is it right? Are the circus people living bastards who beat up their animals immediately we have turned our back on them? That what different animal organisations wants us to believe but is it true? I don’t think they are right but on the other hand, they can’t give animals optimal conditions, but who can? The question is why is it circus animals the organisations are going after. I have been in so many countries where kids are throwing stones after animals on the streets and they are not counting animals for anything. Why? There are so many animals who suffers around the world, in the industry – Cave chickens, transportation of animals without water and foot, cows there never is coming out in the sun, badly equipped zoo’s –there is thousands of them, the hunting of whales and seals. I could go on for hours…why are animal organisations using so much energy on circus – Circus animals do have a purpose – they amuse most people – Maybe not the best life for an animal but it increases the interest for their free brothers and sisters. If we didn’t have pets, cave birds, dogs cats, parrots, I could go on, their would be absolute no interest for the rain forests and other animal habits at all.

Of cause we shall treat animals right, with respect and all that care we can come up with. A solution could be a kind of animal licence, where you have to prove that you are able to take care of a specific animal. It should be illegal for private people to own Wild cats, bears and other dangerous animals, unless you can give the animals optimal conditions. Licence could be given to some animal trainers if they treat their animals well. There could be rules for specific animals and minimum conditions for caves and transportation. It shouldn’t be legal to have herd animals in any conditions unless there is more than one animal of it’s own kind.

Next time you go to a circus please show you respect for those trainers there do respect their animals – most of them do. It’s not fair to ban all animals in circus because most of them have a much better life than many other animals. But in the other hand if you see some fools doing stupid things, tell them, I do.

Here are some pictures of animals their do have nice conditions. The picture are all taken in the Scandinavian summer season by Circus Scandinavia.
